Fitness with FriendsThe service and your licence
Fitness with Friends is a private social fitness service for choosing programmes, logging movement, using optional reminders and sharing activity with a private crew. Subject to these terms and Apple’s applicable terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control.
The app is not a medical, emergency or health-monitoring service. It does not verify activity through a camera, HealthKit, location or another device sensor.
Account and acceptable use
Sign in with Apple is required to finish first setup. Keep your device and Apple Account secure, use a truthful display name that is appropriate for a private crew, and do not share invitations beyond people you intend to invite.
You must not misuse the service, including by attempting to access another person’s account or crew, bypassing access or subscription controls, sending harmful or unlawful material through a display name or crew activity, interfering with the service, or using the app in a way that harms another person’s privacy, safety or access.
Private crews and your content
You are responsible for the display name, exercise entries, reactions, programme choices and other information you contribute. Share a private crew only with people you trust. Crew members can see the shared crew activity described in our Privacy Policy.
You keep your rights in content you contribute. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content to the relevant private crew and to operate, secure and improve the service. App-powered Training Mates are disclosed product features, not people or customer accounts.
Movement and safety
Exercise guidance is general fitness information, not medical advice. Choose a comfortable level, use your own judgement and stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual shortness of breath. Seek qualified medical advice when appropriate. Do not use Fitness with Friends as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Free core and Crew Plus
The free core includes the bundled programmes, personal logging and ordinary history, private crews with up to 12 active human members including the owner, invitations, one included account-wide Training Mate, Next Small Move, optional local reminders, Weekly Rhythm, Quick Challenges and Move With Me.
Crew Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription. It provides two additional account-wide Training Mates and Programme Studio. It does not gate human invitations, bundled programmes, logging or ordinary history.
Apple billing, cancellation and refunds
Crew Plus is purchased through Apple using your Apple Account. Apple shows the local price, billing period and renewal terms before purchase. Payment, cancellation, billing questions and refund decisions are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and policies. You can restore an eligible purchase in the app and manage or cancel an active subscription through Apple’s subscription settings.
Deleting a Fitness with Friends account does not cancel an Apple subscription. If you no longer want to be billed, manage or cancel the subscription through Apple first.
Availability, updates and ending access
We work to keep the service reliable, but it may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, network conditions or circumstances outside our control. We may change, improve, suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to operate, secure or improve the service.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect people, privacy, security or the service, including for a material breach of these terms. Where account deletion is requested, we follow the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The app, website, software, designs, names, marks and content we provide are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence above, these terms do not transfer ownership of them to you. Please do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute or use them beyond what applicable law permits.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fitness with Friends is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every person or purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law permits us to limit a remedy for a breach of a guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the affected service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Subject to those non-excludable rights, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
Apple
Apple is not responsible for the Fitness with Friends service, its content, support or any claims relating to it. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms. To the extent an Apple standard licensed-application end-user licence applies to your download, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of that licence and may enforce it.
Privacy, changes and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. We may update these terms when needed to reflect changes to the service, law or operations. An updated effective date will appear here. For questions about these terms, email support@fitnesswithfriends.app.
